The Simrad S2009 Fishfinder is a robust yet compact fishfinder that unites the Broadband Sounder™ module with CHIRP technology. With a 9-inch LCD portrait display, the S2009 designed to meet the need for a dedicated fish finder display aboard coastal and offshore fishing vessels. The Broadband Sounder module allows for plug-and-play transducer connection and is compatible with Simrad and Airmar transducers equipped with blue 7-pin connectors. CHIRP technology utilizes frequency-swept sonar pulses to deliver higher resolution, improved target separation, and greater image clarity than traditional sonar at all depth ranges. With Vertical Heave Compensation which eliminates the vertical effects of wave action from sonar depth measurements, enhancing the accuracy and consistency of bottom tracking in rough conditions. Other features include Integrated Keypad and Rotary Dial, Direct-Access Menu Keys, NMEA0183 & NMEA2000 Connectivity, Record sonar history to a full-sized SD memory card, White Line which clearly separates the water column from the bottom, White Marker lets you highlight specific sonar echoes corresponding to fish or other targets of interest and Colour Erase eliminates unwanted noise or unimportant features from the display by letting the user select any colour to be blended into the background.
