Product Overview

Raymarine P79S In Hull Depth Smart Transducer

(NMEA 2000 DeviceNet connection)

Raymarine P79 Overview:

The P79 adjustable, in-hull depth transducer is ideal for boats with fiberglass hulls looking for a fast and easy installation, high-speed performance, or those who want to minimize drag. The transducer installs inside of the boat's hull, transmitting and receiving echoes through the solid fiberglass bottom with no hull protrusion whatsoever.

P79 comes with an innovative flange that installs on the inside of the boat's hull using quick-setting marine epoxy. No cutting or drilling is required. Using built-in markings the flange is aligned to match the deadrise angle of the boat's hull. Once set in place and made liquid-tight, the flange is filled with propylene glycol non-toxic antifreeze and the active transducer cap is attached. Finally, the transducer cap is dialed-in and locked in place for a straight-down beam and maximum echo returns.

Note: Being an in-hull transducer, there is no water temperature sensor on the P79 transducer.

The design of the P79 accommodates a wide range of deadrise angles from 2° to 22°. This transducer is intended for use on vessels with solid fiberglass hulls with a maximum thickness of 5/8". P79 can also be used on aluminium hulls less than 3.8mm (0.125") thick.

Raymarine offers the P79 transducer is multiple configurations to support traditional analogue sailing instruments, NMEA200 Smart devices, as well as dual-frequency (50/200 kHz) fishfinders.

A80373 P79S in-hull transducer:

The P79S Smart Depth In Hull Depth Transducer with Fitting Kit.

The P79S delivers processed depth data right to the onboard network for multiple displays to use.

The major benefit of an in-hull transducer is no protruding features on the exterior of the hull, making it the perfect choice for trailered or lifted boats. Designed for smaller boats up to 8 m (25') with a solid-fiberglass hull.

Specifications:
• Depth only
• 100 W
• 235 kHz frequency prevents mutual interference with other echosounders on the vessel
• 7° beamwidth
• Maximum depth of 150 m (500')
• Installed with a hand-adjustable base. No cutting is needed.
• NMEA 2000 certified cable assembly
• No holes to drill
• In-hull installation can be done while the boat is in the water
• Urethane transducer with adjustable, plastic, mounting base
• Installed with a hand-adjustable base. No cutting is needed.
