Paguro Siphon Break Kit (6kw and above)
The Paguro Siphon Break Kit includes a self cleaning bronze siphon-break device dry assembled with appropriate hose tails for the water hose, water hose extensions, generator to water hose adapters for good connections and all hose clips. Required where the generator is located close or below the waterline as if the level of the waterline (including when the boat heels over) is higher than the generator exhaust injection point, water can siphon into the exhaust system and flood back into the engine through the exhaust valve, when the engine is stopped. When an engine is damaged in such a way it is not covered by warranty so if you are uncertain about this, fitting the Siphon Break Kit is the right choice to make.
