About

Rowlands Marine Electronics is based in Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales.

We cover the whole of North Wales from Aberystwyth to Conwy, via Aberdovey, Barmouth, Porthmadog, Abersoch, Caernarfon, Y Felinheli, Holyhead, Beaumaris, Bangor and Deganwy – and any points in between which can take a boat.

We are approved service dealers for all of the leading brands including Raymarine, Furuno, ICOM, Garmin, B&G and Simrad.  We have over 35 years of experience of electrical installations in both sailing and power craft, covering the full spectrum of marine electrical and electronic solutions from the simplest of systems to the more extensive and complicated blue water cruising kit, such as satellite systems, heating, air-con and water-making equipment.  Our ethos is to give good service delivered with good humour.  Our customers are precious.

Rowlands employs professional engineers who undergo regular manufacturer training so we are always up to date.  We pride ourselves on the quality of both installation and of service and we will price competitively.

We also, in addition to private boat owners, provide installation support to boat dealers equipping new builds including Jeanneau, Beneteau, X-Yachts, Princess, Cranchi, Fairline, Sealine, Princess, Chaparral and Tayana.  We have undertaken installations on Fisheries vessels for the Welsh Government.  Our local fishermen are among our favourites – especially when they give us a bag of freshly caught scallops.

Where to start?

Start by giving us a call or coming to see us.  We will discuss your requirements, survey your boat, design a system and give you a quote.  We can (within reason) update your system, provide a whole new one – or maybe just mend the old one.

Then what?

We will install, test and commission (if hardware is bought from us) your equipment.  We will provide manufacturer's on-board warranties (subject to manufacturers terms and conditions) if we have supplied and installed the kit.  A warranty means peace of mind and allows priority call outs.  Effectively – we make sure everything works.  Even if it takes some time – and believe me, sometimes it does take some time.

Other stuff

Fire?  Flood?  We can advise.  Something not working?  We can look – sometimes we can repair, sometimes we can’t.  There is a minimum initial charge of £35.00 to go against the cost (if more than £35.00) of repair or against the purchase of new equipment from us in the event your kit is beyond repair.

If you like fuses, switches, cable, grommets – then we are the place to lose yourself in.  As a side-line, we also have on show up-to-date equipment such as the new Raymarine Hybrid touch range.
