I installed this piece of apparatus on my boat, I used the NMEA 2000 connectivity to link it to my Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 3. Works perfectly. As soon as you switch it on you will get a bleep alarm letting you know that you are missing the MMSI number, just key in your MMSI and alarm disappears. At the start I wondered why it didn't show my GPS coordinates until I realized I had to choose from where I was going to get these readings from.Chose the lowrance HDS and voila there they were. ontop of this you have AIS. Lovely piece of equipment for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended! Gareth on 28th Jun 2016
