Operation is simple, with a dedicated standby button and clear prompts and confirmation of button presses.  Connect to other Marine Units

The GHC 10 communicates with the GHP 10 Autopilot system via a NMEA 2000® bus, enabling the sharing of autopilot heading data with other devices.

 It also can communicate over NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 to a chartplotter to steer to a waypoint or follow a route.
